Finesse & us
Here is Maia and I before my night out.
Friday night was Neil and I's first date night in probably a year. Thanks to my friend, Jamie, for offering to come over with her kids and stay with mine while we went out and enjoyed ourselves. I bought Finesse Mitchell comedy tickets for us for Neil's birthday and then 2 more for our good friends, Heather and Lee.
We went to dinner first at a really great Italian restaurant, had good wine, but really bad service. At least we could look past that, laugh about it, and enjoy the moment. One of my favorite parts was at the end when I told Heather I wanted to do a shot. I hadn't done one of those for years and it just sounded like fun. So I had to prod her a little bit, but finally did get her to do one with me. It was some Italian liqueur that I can't remember the name of. Maybe Heather does? But it is 8 degrees when it comes out. Mighty tasty if I do say so myself. Oh, and we can't forget the chocolate cake. That should be called "better-than-anything-in-the-world cake". It was so dense, so rich, it just melted in your mouth. Yummmm.

Then we went to the comedy. It was soooo good. I've only been to one ever. This was my 2nd. We were in the 3rd row. Finesse was hysterical. He is a comedian on SNL. Some of his famous skits have been Shakeisha and Andre 3000 from Outkast. He has a website.
Here we are before the show. (Neil took this blurry pic, haha.)
Thanks for a really great night, guys!!
