Aerial view of what will soon be
So this is probably just something that tickles my own fancy, but I still thought I would share. This is where we will one day . . . hopefully soon . . . live! Notice all the green to the west - that's a big beautiful park! And we heard that we already have neighbors! The lot to the west of us has also been purchased. Neighbors, wow. (And our age even. Right now we are surrounded by 40+ year-olds. NOT that there is anything at all wrong with that!) We might be building at the same time. I just hope we get our house up first so we can be the first to pick out a house color. The bilaws are, no house within 400 feet can be the same color as yours! Okaaaaaay. So for me, that is not hard to do. For some, that would be like pulling teeth. If I have to have a turquoise house, I have to have a turquoise house. I can deal with that. Our neighbors may not be too keen of that, though. Which is why they better let us pick first. Ha ha.
So back to the map. You can see 3 ponds. The northern most one (near the top right corner) will be pretty close to us. It sits behind our friends's house, the Zora's. Eventually that pond should be about 3 acres big. So if you come off of the main road there and turn right, the road that borders the park and the subdivision, you then take the first left (going north) and we will be the 2nd cul-de-sac on the left. In this picture the first cul-de-sac is not complete, but how it stands now, it is almost full of houses and now ours is in the making! This is all so exciting. I absolutely cannot wait!
So, we met with a third builder on Friday. We really liked him. We are now waiting on a bid from him. We're hoping we can pick a builder soon. The lot owner is hoping so, too. He's pretty antsy about his houses starting as quickly as possible. He is a really nice man, though. When he talks to us, he says "you good people". We look forward to getting to know him better and the rest of our new fabulous new little community.
More to come . . . um . . . you knew that, didn't you?
