Goodbye, Jeff
Tonight is Jeff's visitation with the funeral tomorrow. I still cannot believe this. It makes you really think about life . . .about your significant other, family and friends . . . and makes you truly truly see how precious life is. Rachel said goodbye to her husband Sunday morning as he left for work. That night instead of him walking in the door, she got a knock on the door from a fellow employee of her husband's. He then took her to the hospital where she saw her husband for the last time . . . who had already passed away. It's just a huge huge wake-up call when something like this happens so close to home . . . to a friend. Here's a picture of Rachel and Jeff (2nd from left) at my 30th birthday party. With them in the picture is Vickie and Randy, our close friends. Please think of the Miller family tonight, especially Rachel and her boys, Christian and Scotty.

It truly does make you more appreciative. I will be thinking of them on this holiday which should be happy.
All my prayers. He looked like a wonderful person to know.
Val, the family is most certainly in our thoughts and prayers. I didn't know them but their son Scott is a grade above Ashley and they are in Show Choir together. It broke my heart hearing about it from other parents who know them. ((Hugs))
Praying for them and thinking about you too!
((hugs))
I am so sorry Val. I will keep Rachel, her boys, and your family in my prayers. Stay strong.
So sad... I will say an extra prayer right now for your friends as well as you and Neil. I pray that his children never forget him, therefore he can live on through them.
Prayers for Rachel and family. Life is so fragile...I can't imagine.
Deaths such as your friend Jeff's do give you a wake up call to your own mortality...work accident? ??? Wow..unreal. My prayers are out to Rachel and the children..
I'm just now getting around to checking in with you ... I'm so sorry about your loss. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.
Val you're so right, when it hits that close to home we stop and realize how very fortunate we are that God blessed us with one more day. He has a plan for all of us, and sometimes I just wish He'd reveal it now so I can understand some of it. (((hugs)))
