. . . said goodbye to Jen and Addison. We had such a great time together. Like always, it was so soooo hard to say goodbye. Who knows when we'll see each other again. Great friends are hard to find. I miss them already.

I have a really bad head ache. It's around my temples. Both temples. I began writing my post for today with lots and lots of hints for the Val Quiz, and these aches and pains hit me. I've actually been dealing with them off and on for a week now. It started one night in bed when I got shooting pains going through my temples. Ever since the areas have been sore to the touch. Right now I am experiencing shooting pains again and really sore tender temples. Pain is worse when I move my head. A little pain in the front of my head. Do you think this could be a migraine? It's a little scary. I feel it going down into my left cheekbone, too. Can anyone help me? I can't post my post right now. I'm going to lay down. Neil should be home soon. I thought I have had migraines before but if this is a migraine I can tell you that I have never had one before.
10:00 pm update -- I looked online some and in some books and I really do think it was/is either a migraine or sinus infection. Either way I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I am feeling almost 100% better now at the moment. Took about 4 hours for me to get over whatever it was and feel better. I can panic really easily, but also I really didn't know what was going on. Anything dealing with my head region freaks me out. Thank you everyone for your quick responses.
The wedding went so very well! My bride and groom . . . so beautiful . . . so fun . . . so relaxed. You can't ask for a better couple! And the bride, Sojin, she and I are so much alike . . . I can see us being friends for a long long time.
Heather and I had a few giggles throughout the day. Like the second we turned the lights off to my studio lighting set-up, the family flocked to the front of the sanctuary like a nest of locust. No kidding. She was hurrying so quickly to roll up the 50 ft extension cord we use, she fell down. The people didn't even notice because they were concerned with one thing and one thing only (in our opinion) and that was, getting the best seat in the house! Heather was like "wth?!" but I was laughing because it was just quite comical. I had never, in my 5 years of shooting, seen anything quite like it. We were trying to come up with different examples for it, and here's what we thought of. Imagine a race of (not a leisurely stroll!) . . . a stampede of cows, sea gulls flying down for food they spot, ducks swimming towards a piece of bread, and then of course the locusts (our favorite example). I'm not making fun, really I'm not, because I thought it was cute and funny. Just something I had never seen in my life.
We also met some of the most kind, generous, well-mannered, well-dressed bunch of people to ever meet in our lives. I seriously fell in love with these Korean families (all 400 of them!). They were just so nice . . . and nice isn't even the best word for it, it's more like congenial, pleasant and polite. They made up for some weddings in the past where guests at the wedding were so callow and crude. (Those sort of people who I've had the unfortunate chance to deal with, just make some families . . . some Americans . . . look bad, and it's just really sad. They need to take lessons from the Koreans or from Miss Manners!) These people were just the best to work with on all accounts and I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity to have worked with them . . . to have gotten to know their culture better. It's an amazing, highly respectable culture.
Oh and I cannot go without mentioning how strong their faith is. It had my jaw hitting the floor. The love they have for God is absolutely amazing and an incredible site to see. What strong Christians they are!
There were 400 guests there and 60 children. I found it neat and respectable how children were counted separately but so higly respected. Speaking of children, I have never seen so many well-behaved, well-mannered, well-discipled children in my entire life. 60 perfectly well-behaved children just blew me away. I sat in awe of them. The ceremony was an hour and you didn't hear a peep from one of them. After the ceremony, they didn't run around, but stood with their parents smiling and laughing. They seemed to be so happy . . . and were so so good. I was just so very impressed. (And I can't go without mentioning how I almost took 2 or 3 of the little girls home with me. I now have a strong love for little Korean girls. I wanted to just grab 'em up and love all over them!)
Anyhow, what a great day it was. And the weather turned out perfect. We had the two hours outdoors and I can't WAIT to upload those pictures. What a beautiful couple . . . beautiful family . . . I felt so honored to be a part of it.
Now on a different note, I have this headache that I just can't knock off. It's driving me crazy. If you know me, you know I experience headaches quite often, but not this kind of one. It feels like this . . .
I have had it for 4 or 5 days now. I am not sure what is wrong. It's just kinda "there". And feels like a vice grip on my head. Sometimes feels like a brick just sitting there on top. I feel it down into my neck, too. It's just pretty annoying and I just can't shake it off. OTC meds are not working. I don't want to go to a doctor. I am going to give it a few more days. I think it's a tension headache. And it sucks. Words of wisdom anyone?

Oh Oh Oh! And I had a great surprise after the wedding! O'ma took my kids for the night (which I didn't know about), so Neil met me in Chambana and we had dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant, glasses of yummy wine and some nice quiet relaxation, talk and enjoyment of each other alone. It was so so so great. I can't remember the last time we did that. Afterwards we went to some hardware stores to return things and then we had a good nights sleep. It was nice. Really nice. So thank you, O'ma.
