Father's Day is in 6 days . . .

. . . and I am clueless as to what to get my darling husband!

I need some ideas for Father's Day this year. I have the best hubby in the world who does so much for me and my children. (Including dishes, dinner, and the kids' baths 4 or 5 nights a week just so I can work.) I want to show him simply how much we love him without buying him a new shirt or tie . . . you know, the cliche of all Father's Day gifts? :c)

We'll be traveling this year on Father's Day . . . probably not truly how he wants to spend it. We'll be flying part of the day and driving the rest of the day and with 2 kids, one of which who has 2 or 3 tantrums a day as it is . . . the thought of tantrums while travelling . . .wow, what an adventure this will be (*ugh*). Then Saturday I have a big wedding. One that I am photographing and am invited to as a guest, and so is Neil, as we're friends with both the bride and groom. And then Friday we are off 45 minutes away to see the Orthopedic Surgeon for Miss Maia. That will probably last all day with tests and x-rays. Then Thursday night we'll be packing since we won't have any time Friday or Saturday to do so. Probably none of those are really ways he wants to spend Father's Day.

Anyone have any suggestions? What are you doing for your husband or fathers? I need help!

That doesn't sound like a very fun Father's Day... why don't you postpone it a week and let him pick all sorts of fun things to do that weekend?

Griff's birthday is on Father's Day this year, so we're doing FD the next Sunday, so we can focus on each of them.

My husband never wants anything (SO unlike me), so he's hard to shop for... we'll do his favorite foods, watch baseball, and let him grill. And we'll all listen to whatever he says all day. :)

Father's Day gifts are too hard-- why is that?! I don't have any super ideas off the top of my head. But, I do wish you safe-tantrumless travels;) Good luck with everything going on (we'll be praying for Miss Maia!) and know that vacation time lies ahead--and you get to see us!! What could be better than that?! ;)

I'm stumped this year, too. I managed to get my hubby a decent birthday gift last month, and now I am not sure what to do for him... I'll let you know if I come up with anything.

I agree with Chel on the post-ponement of daddy's day. And I have the perfect idea too. He'll love it! (Even though you might love it more!) Let him have a full day out of the house... with the kids.. BY HIMSELF! :) How fun would that be?!

I don't have a clue. I was hoping for ideas in your comments. :)

I would look in the Savannah area and see if there is something really neat or interesting that he would like and prebook it for when there. Even if its like an hour rental on a jet ski. Something fun and manly.

I know you aren't a scrapbooker, but this year I am scrapbooking a page with the following poem on it. I thought it would make it cheap yet have lots of personal feelings put in it.

My father walks with wisdom as he leads us on with speed. But he never fails to praise us as we stumble through our deeds!
